We build and run some of key systems for iconic Kiwi companies and we keep their business's running globally whilst supporting them from the heart of the North Island. As a result, we are passionate about getting the results that the customer needs and adding value to their business.

As a Technical Consultant your knowledge, and more importantly ability to take charge and apply your skills, will lead to success in the role and for the team.

This role can be based in either of the following locations: Hamilton, Tauranga or Taranaki.

What you'll do

Gather, analyse and understand ICT business requirements from clients
Contribute to pre-sales and sales engagements with clients
Explain complex technical concepts with clarity to technical and non-technical personnel
Design Cloud Infrastructure solutions - Producing designs and as-built templates as required
Liaise with customers, other Datacom business areas and any associated third-parties
Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the benefits of relevant technologies including industry certifications
What you'll bring

An in-depth understanding of Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Strategy and Migrations. (Azure, AWS and Google)is essential
You will have technical knowledge across most of these areas: SAN storage, Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) planning, Microsoft (Windows, SQL, Exchange, Active Directory) and Linux technologies (RHEL)
Confidence to engage with our clients, and talk them through benefits of the solution you are recommending
Ability and willingness to be self-managing and proactive
Confidence to engage with our clients, and talk them through benefits of the solution you are recommending
Aptitude to work within a team and the wider Datacom, providing technical guidance on projects
A commitment to training, up-skilling and professional development.
