Pace Engineering Ltd is an experienced, privately owned, mechanical engineering company. Our well-equipped purpose-built workshops based in Taranaki, the heart of New Zealand's energy province, offers total engineering services to a broad client base.
We're currently seeking the skills of an experienced Storeperson to join our team in a newly created role.
You will be responsible for the setting up and overseeing operations of our store, including undertaking inwards goods duties and basic repairs to equipment when necessary. You will need to take accountability for ensuring gear is returned to the store and in good condition to be re-issued.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar role, along with a good understanding of engineering plant item names and relevant checks required for equipment.
You will also need to demonstrate:
Experience setting up a store
Excellent computer skills - excel, word, emails and our new Ezicheq system
Accurate data input skills
Clear English communication skills (written and verbal)
Reliability and an honest work ethic
Competence in testing and tagging electrical equipment (or happy to obtain training)
Initiative identifying and solving potential issues
A remuneration package will be offered based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
