The New Plymouth District Council's Parks team is charged with the care, maintenance and planting of gardens throughout its streets and Parks and Reserves network.
We are looking for a talented parks professional to lead one of our horticulture teams. To be successful in this leadership role you will need the ability to inspire and bring out the best in your team. You will promote Council's values, enabling the team to see how their work contributes to our community's vision of Building a Lifestyle Capital.
You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of horticultural services to customers and ensure the program of work is coordinated effectively and efficiently.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant National qualification in horticulture as well as field experience in the horticulture industry and demonstrated competency in the coordination of staff and resources including HSNO requirements.
At the New Plymouth District Council we aim to create and sustain a truly rewarding workplace environment for our staff. You can expect to start in this role with us between $73,170 and $79,673.
