Puke Ariki has a national reputation for their joint library, museum and research centre situated in New Plymouth. Presently we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Collections and Curatorial Coordinator to join our team.

This role is to coordinate the collections, curatorial and research staff at Puke Ariki Museum. You will ensure the day to day work of the teams is delivered while coordinating multiple project teams working on diverse museum and research centre projects. You will work closely with the Museum Collections, Curatorial and Exhibitions Lead and the Exhibitions Coordinator to achieve organisational objectives.

To be successful in this roleyou will have an understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and biculturalism, you will have extensive knowledge of museum collection and exhibition practice and experience delivering exhibitions and related projects. You will be able to motivate teams, drive performance, handle pressure and meet deadlines. The role requires an adaptable and flexible attitude, while being able to maintain best practice procedures and standards.
